Brief Bio 
 
Dr Matthew McGrail is a Senior Research Fellow at Monash University School of Rural Health. He is based full-time on the Churchill campus of Monash University, within the Gippsland Medical School, which is part of the School of Rural Health. 

Matthew completed his PhD in 2008 with Monash University, titled “The McGrail index of access to primary care for rural Australians”. Matthew has strong skills in all aspects of quantitative research and has been an active rural health researcher for over 10 years. Matthew is particularly interested in the measurement and use of geographical classifications and access measures in rural health.
