Brief Bio Dr Hobbs is a GP Obstetrician from Cootamundra on the south- west slopes of NSW, where he has been involved in the establishment of an innovative integrated primary care service.
Dr Hobbs was Chair of the External Reference Group working with the Department of Health and Ageing to develop Australia’s first National Primary Health Care Strategy.  He is the immediate past Chair of the Australian General Practice Network, the Chair of the Murrumbidgee Medicare Local and is a member of the NHMRC Prevention and Community Health Committee.  Dr Hobbs is also a Director of the Cancer Institute NSW and a member of the Australian National Preventive Health Agency Council.
Dr Hobbs is committed to improving access to health care and reducing inequitable health outcomes through a comprehensive Primary Health Care approach.
